The evocative and atmospheric nature-inspired music of Einaudi and Vaughan Williams come together in this stunning Spring concert.
The Lark Ascending is one of Britain’s best-loved pieces of classical music, capturing the character of the English countryside inhabited by the sky lark.
The natural world is also beautifully depicted by the works of Ludovico Einaudi as he takes us through Spring, the evocative Petricor (smell of rain), and I Giorni – ‘In the Days, Our Life’.
Max Richter’s hauntingly beautiful On the Nature of Daylight and Astor Piazzolla’s pulsating tango Summer conclude a fascinating emotional and uplifting programme of music.
