October’s concert as part of the tea-time series of chamber recitals at Christ Church, Nailsworth includes Vaughan Williams’ beautifully transcendent work for solo violin The Lark Ascending and his arrangement of the lilting melody Greensleeves.Roger Armstrong is the soloist in Vivaldi’s lively Flute Concerto, and joins other principals from the Bristol Ensemble to perform a flute sextet by the contemporary Australian-born composer John Carmichael.
