An evocative and lyrical selection of music for strings, from Elgar’s timeless minature Salut d’Amour and Mozart’s lively Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, to the passionate and romantic Nocturne from Borodin’s second string quartet. Boccherini takes a wander down a Madrid street, painting a musical picture of church bells ringing, young people dancing, and soldiers sounding the curfew.
