Busking on the Bus

Busking on the Bus is an exciting and educational music project, celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We are grateful to the Quartet Community Foundation for its support of this project.

Busking on the Bus will bring professional classical music performances to communities and children all over Bristol, with a focus on reaching people in areas that may not usually have the opportunity to engage with classical music. Musicians from the Bristol Ensemble will tour the city on an open top bus on Friday 3rd June, performing short concerts in communities across the city – from Lawrence Weston to Lawrence Hill, Knowle West and Hartcliffe – with a few other stops on the way. These community performances will be followed by concerts in primary schools in some of the most deprived communities in Bristol – ensuring that children in these areas also benefit from inspirational live classical music.

The bus will be stopping at:

2pm St Peter’s Church, Ridingleaze, Lawrence Weston
2.30pm Blaise Castle car park
3.15pm Ardagh Centre, off Kellaway Avenue, Horfield BS6 7YL
4.15pm Rawnsley Park, Lawrence Hill

5.30pm Asda, Whitchurch, Oatlands Avenue BS14 0ST
