Brahms Requiem

To commemorate the centenary of the Armistice of the First World War, Bath Choral Society will perform Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem.

‘A German Requiem has become something of an anthem for our time, with grand social and political reverberations.’ (New York Times)

The concert will open with Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, which he described as expressing ‘hope, reassurance, faith and illumination in all its manifestations’.

At the end of the concert there will be a collection from which all proceeds will go to Help the Heroes.
