Bristol Cathedral Chamber Choir is the semi-professional choir for these ever-popular performances of Handel’s inspired oratorio, Messiah, in the beautiful setting of Bristol Cathedral.
Baroque specialist soprano Elizabeth Weisberg leads the line-up of rising star soloists of the classical music world. The alto is the young soloist Carris Jones, graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and founder member of the celebrated early music Stile Antico. Fellow Royal Academy of Music graduate Alexander Sprague sings the beautiful tenor solos. In 2012 Alexander was awarded the Michael Oliver prize in the International Handel Singing Competition. The quartet is completed by the bass Oliver Hunt, also a founder member of Stile Antico.
